Corvette of the Month - 1984 Corvette Coupe Fright Pig
Stefan Lombard takes a look at a horrible 1984 Corvette Coupe that sold for $2,050 at Mecum's Bloomington Gold auction on June 17. Blast some AC/DC and fetch those acid-washed jeans, maybe cut a mullet and do burnout-to-doughnut-combos in the local high school parking lot... just don't expect a thrashed C4 to benefit from any restoration or modification attempts.

Breaking News... Scottsdale Corvette Insider's Seminar Now Free to CM Subscribers
Thanks to support from the collector car hobby, CM subscribers will be able to attend the first annual Corvette Market Scottsdale Insider's Seminar free of charge. Pre-registration is required.
The seminar will take place January 18 in the Russo and Steele tent in Scottsdale, Arizona, from 9 am to 11 am. Publisher Martin will moderate the event, which will be entitled "The Corvette Market - Yesterday, Today, and Tomorrow," and will include a panel of leading authorities in the Corvette world. Entry for current CM subscribers is free; non-subscribers pay $100 for 2, or $55 for one. Russo and Steele will provide seminar participants with a catered breakfast at 8 am.

"Earthquake 88s" to Shake up St. Charles
Next year's Bloomington Gold show at Pheasant Run resort in St. Charles, Illinois, is going to be noisy. Bloomington Gold CEO David Burroughs has announced the featured model at the June 26-29 show will be the thundering L88 Corvette, and he hopes to gather more than 50 of them. The event will also feature the new All-Brand Survivor Show, which is open to anyone who has a functional vehicle over 20 years old and feels it qualifies as a Survivor.

Corvettes Show Strength for Chip Miller
 The 1st Annual Corvettes for Chip took place November 11 in Kennett Square, Pennsylvania. Chip Miller, who passed away in 2004 from amyloidosis, was a life-long 'Vette enthusiast and played a key role in the creation of Carlisle Events. Eighteen Corvette clubs raised $2,500 for the Chip Miller Charitable Foundation, formed to support research, education, and awareness of the disease that took his life.

ProTeam Sweeps Vettefest With Six Triple Crown Winners
Perfection continues for ProTeam Classic Corvette Collection and Sales as they won six Triple Crown awards during the Fall Chevy Vettefest Nationals on Saturday, November 17, 2007, at the Donald Stephens Convention Center in Rosemont, Illinois. In two years, all 15 of ProTeam's entries have reached this pinnacle mark.

RM Toronto International Fall Classic Car Auction
 The 'Vette was well represented at RM's annual Toronto International Fall Classic Car Auction held October 19-21. Twenty-one Corvettes crossed the block and nine sold for a total of $315,761, with a 1962 convertible earning high sale honors at $111,240. View the complete results here.
